How to draw fuse bead patterns

Easily draw fuse bead patterns on your iPhone or iPad. This guide gives you an overview of the process using the Perlypop app.

Step 1: Choose a pattern size

To get started, choose the size of your pattern. You can always change this later.

When you’re ready, press the next arrow (at the top right of the screen) to go to the next step.

Step 2: Draw your pattern

Simply zoom in and tap to start drawing your pattern (or use the paintbrush tool).

Change the palette

To change the palette, press the palette button. You can choose from the following palettes:

  • Perler
  • Hama
  • Artkal
  • Nabbi

Trace over images

To show an image in the background, press the image button. You can trace over the image or use it as a reference when drawing your pattern.

Use editing tools

There is also a complete set of editing tools for you to use:

  • Change palette
  • Colour picker
  • Eraser
  • Paintbrush
  • Replace colour
  • Fill colour
  • Cut & paste
  • Copy & paste
  • Mirror
  • Rotate & flip
  • Add text
  • Insert pattern
  • And more…

Tip: To move parts of the pattern, use the cut & paste tool.

Step 3: All done! 🎉

You can now export your pattern or track your progress in the app.

  • Progress – Press the play button to track your progress in the app.
  • Export – Press the export button > Export to export your pattern as a PDF, image or Perlypop File.
  • DIY Kit – Press the export button > DIY Kit to print your pattern at home.
  • Shopping List – Press the export button > Shopping List to export a shopping list.
